You may have read that the CRA will allow you to claim charitable contributions made in January and February 2025, on your 2024 taxes.
If you contributed to FSO during this period and would like to take advantage of this, please email firststepoptions@gmail.com and ask our bookkeeper to email an interim tax receipt. They will be emailed at the end of March, as we have to wait a month for cheques to clear. Your year-end tax receipt (in February 2026) will then exclude the donations already receipted.
If you do not wish to claim your 2025 donations for 2024, there is no need to do anything; your year end tax receipt will include all 2025 donations as usual.

Donations by e-transfer
This is an easy, fee-free way to give.

Please do not use any other online
portal. They will deduct 4% from your
gift and send you a tax receipt directly.
For pre-authorized monthly donations,
please download and save the pledge form

Planned and Deferred Legacy Giving
Continue to make a difference even after you have passed on by designating part of your estate to be given to the work of the pregnancy Centre.
Donations
Donations totalling $20.00 or more will receive a receipt at the end of the year.
Restricted or designated funds will only be accepted for board-approved projects or programs.
